Coach Ramble Booking Procedure

 

The continuing success of our coach rambles does have its down side - over the last year or so, on several occasions the coach has been fully booked or even over-booked. In the interests of everyone, it has therefore become necessary to tighten up the booking procedure:  

1. Bookings may be made for only one ramble at a time, and is restricted to either the next trip or one subsequent trip.  

2. Non-refundable payment of £10 (£13 for non-members) should in general be made at the time of booking but, at the latest, is required at least seven days prior to the walk. (“Carry forward” of payment will no longer be permitted for people who book but cancel or do not turn up, and fares may be subject to change when necessary.)  

3. Later participation can be accommodated on the basis that the coach may be joined (space permitting) only at the last pick-up point and payment is made upon boarding the coach.  

4.Payment may be made in cash or by cheque payable to “Ramblers, Wigan & District Group” with the date of the walk on the back.  

5. You are welcome to come on 2 or 3 walks, after which you are expected to join the Ramblers; you may then participate in the activities of any Group nationally.  

6. Membership cards should be shown when requested.

8. If a surplus of bookings for the next ramble becomes apparent on the coach, then priority will be given to Ramblers members with others reverting to a “reserve” list.
