Foulridge, Lancashire.

April's coach ramble at Foulridge followed a very wet week with a fine Spring day.  Peter Wilson led the group of 21 on a muddy 8 mile walk around The Bounds of Foulridge.  It was an undulating but enjoyable walk with many stiles.  Frank Atherton led the shorter walk along the Leeds Liverpool canal and on the second half of the longer walk.  17 Ramblers enjoyed the day in spite of a few diversions from the planned route.  They heard a woodpecker and saw rabbits, before seeing the yachts on Foulridge Lower Reservoir.  Back at Foulridge Wharf they saw the mouth of the tunnel and then found the café or the pub.
