Whitchurch, Shropshire.

November's coach ramble was to Whitchurch in North Shropshire.

Frank Atherton led the group of 22 on the shorter walk, which started along the Llangollen canal and across the fields into the beautiful small village of Marbury.  We enjoyed lunch sitting around the 200 hundred year old oak tree as we watched the very elegant Cheshire horse riders go by.
From the church yard we walked past Marbury Big Mere and across some very boggy fields onto the South Cheshire Way.  After some exploratory diversions and a short, cold shower we reached Whitchurch at the end of a very enjoyable, up and down 6 mile walk.

Peter Wilson led a party of 29 from Whitchurch on an 8 mile ramble as far as Wirswall village via the canal and the Bishop Bennett Way and the South Chehire Way.  In spite of some muddy sections and a short shower they enjoyed the countryside on an unseasonal fine November day.
